Slide Show (using FLICKR)
The slide show I included in my slide show is basically the sites of El Paso and how our city has grown from the beginning of Texas History. The slides represent all parts of El Paso and how many of my students have no connection to these places. i would like for them to also tell me about their origin or places they are connected too.

Podcast in my 7th grade Classes math/ texas history & ART
In Art Class I would use a podcast as a form of hearing different views or giving direction to a certain project that they can replay without the teacher helping them over and over. I would like to see how they could do a project without guidance given at all steps of the lesson making them listen to the directions given.
A podcast in my 7th grade class would help many of my students understand different view points from different places in the world. IN my art classes the podcast that I choose may help my students understand how certain artist are still talked about even though they are no longer with us. A podcast that that I heard compared the different styles of Picasso to Matisse and how the influence of their works have influenced many designs in today time period.
IN my History class, I would use it as a political speech and a chance to see great speeches given through our history. My students would be able to see how public speaking is a key part of winning a presidential race. If a candidate is not able to portray a well rounded spoken person can affect their political career.
My students creating a podcast can give them a voice in which they can voice their opinions and hear themselves opinionate in certain ways that may never be able because they are not of strong character. I n history class I would like to see my students create a political speech when we cover certain eras in the different political years.
In my math class a podcast can help students follow a lesson clearly and in one to one basis in which students get a different type of teaching in which can help students follow step by step podcast thta can help them do certain math problems.

POdcast in the Classroom
AS the demands grow to reach all our students in every level to decrease the educational gap in and out of the classroom Podcast are another useful tool used to reach all your students. I can agree with the article in which podcast are used in several settings to teach an audience in tourist attractions, entertainment, library research and other creative ways to reach the audience. In education I always thought listening to podcast were for audio deficit students who needed extra help in understanding but this project helped me understand that as a teacher podcast can help give students or substitutes guided directions to do assignments correctly in which they can repeat directions as needed, can give a student's a sense of personal teaching that can block all unwanted noise in the classroom an let he or she focus on the task at hand, and can help with team teaching in delivering a task that can be played in several classes at the same time without the other teacher being there. The article also outlined several great benefits that included the time shifting ability which I found helpful myself. Overall I believe Podcast can give students and teachers a better learning environment.
